This announcement is the first since the Chamber announced an organizational restructure last week. The Quad Cities Chamber also plans to increase staff support for Q2030 in the near future by hiring a project manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aguilar, a lifelong Quad Citizen, has been with the Chamber for two years. During his tenure with the Chamber, Aguilar most recently served as the Director of Talent Attraction and Retention where his focus was lifting up the reputation of the Quad Cities as a place where young professionals are visible, engaged, and thriving in their careers and their community. Announcing Greg Aguilar as Q2030 Director and adding a project manager reinforce the Chamber\u2019s commitment to this strategic priority.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re proud of the work that\u2019s been done to date to change the landscape of our community through Q2030, and we\u2019re thrilled to see Greg in this new position,\u201d says Kent Pilcher, Tri-Chair of Q2030 and President of Estes Construction. \u201cThe success of Q2030 will be built on collaborative relationships and ensuring that more people than ever before are invited to the conversation, and Greg has proven his ability to accomplish this.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cQ2030 presents a tremendous opportunity for our community and all Quad Citizens,\u201d says Aguilar. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be leading this initiative and I look forward to continuing the momentum of our regional action plan, and furthering relationships with the many partners who contribute to Q2030.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to working for the Chamber, Aguilar served as the Northwest Regional Manager for the Illinois Department of Commerce &amp; Economic Opportunity where he covered 10 counties and supported community stakeholders with workforce solutions, business retention, attraction, and growth.\u00a0 Aguilar was a founding board member of the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2008.\u00a0His regional work in diversity and inclusion has received various national recognitions including the 2012 College of the Year by the National Hispanic Institute for his work at Augustana College where he lead the office of Multicultural Services, the same year the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber was recognized as the Small Chamber of the Year by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
