We have opportunities in this community right now like we\u2019ve never seen before and together we\u2019ll continue to create a stronger economy for the benefit of all businesses and Quad Citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"aolmail_MsoNormal\">Prior to accepting this position, Rumler most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. His responsibilities included strategic planning to align the Chamber\u2019s vision, membership experience and organization needs, revenue development, market research, and the creation of an annual budget and work plan. The Grand Rapids Chamber serves a metro population of 1.3 million residents and the Chamber has 2,350 members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aolmail_MsoNormal\">Prior to his position with the Grand Rapids Chamber, he was with the Quad Cities Chamber and preceding organizations since 2006, serving in roles ranging from talent attraction and retention, community development, public policy, and economic development.\u00a0Throughout his tenure in the Quad Cities, Rumler was impactful in shepherding priorities that today present some of this region\u2019s greatest economic opportunities. Those include the creation and implementation of the Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub, involvement in the development of Q2030, assembling and leading a strong Chamber economic development staff, relationship building with regional community economic development professionals and public officials, numerous economic and community development project wins, development and approval of passenger rail from Chicago to the Quad Cities, and redevelopment planning of SouthPark Mall.\u00a0 In 2015, he was recognized as a \u201c40 Under 40 Leader in Economic Development\u201d Development Counsellors International.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aolmail_MsoNormal\">The search for the Chamber\u2019s new CEO was led by a search task force appointed by the Chamber\u2019s board of directors. The task force was comprised of: Brian Duffy, Per Mar Security; Cathy Edwards, Edwards Creative; Mara Downing, Deere &amp; Co.; Joe Slavens, Northwest Bank &amp; Trust; Ken Koupal, U.S. Bank; LaDrina Wilson, Scott Community College; Pat Eikenberry, IMEG; Pryce Boeye, Hungry Hobo; and Randy Moore, Iowa American Water.<\/p><div id=\"holaa-1854669968\" class=\"holaa-ad-inside-articles\" style=\"margin-top: 2px;margin-bottom: 2px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><div class=\"holaa-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/hhs.iowa.gov\/health-prevention\/diabetes-prevention-management\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Diabetes Spanish 300&#215;250\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/holaamericanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Diabetes-Spanish-300x250-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"  width=\"300\" height=\"250\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div><br style=\"clear: both; display: block; float: none;\"\/>\n<p class=\"aolmail_MsoNormal\">The search task force retained Waverly Partners, which is the preferred provider of executive search services of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. At the start of the search Waverly Partners traveled to the Quad Cities to meet with stakeholder groups including the Chamber board and investors, elected officials, and staff to develop an understanding of what the community sought in the next leader of the Chamber.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aolmail_MsoNormal\">\u201cWe received applicants from all over the country, many with extensive experience in leading Chambers of Commerce,\u201d says Eikenberry. \u201cWe selected 6 candidates to interview in the Quad Cities and from there narrowed it down to two final candidates who each participated in day-long discussions with staff, board, investors and public sector partners.
