{"id":679,"date":"2007-09-05T20:20:12","date_gmt":"2007-09-05T20:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/166.62.41.2\/~holaamericanews\/2007\/09\/05\/latino-business-owners-open-doors\/"},"modified":"2022-07-17T15:11:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-17T20:11:29","slug":"latino-business-owners-open-doors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holaamericanews.com\/es\/latino-business-owners-open-doors\/","title":{"rendered":"Latino Business Owners Open Doors!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=563&amp;Itemid=2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-678\" title=\"latino_business_breakfast\" src=\"http:\/\/166.62.41.2\/~holaamericanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/latino_business_breakfast.jpg\" alt=\"latino_business_breakfast\" width=\"250\" height=\"131\" align=\"left\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"5\" \/><\/a>Latino business owners opened the doors towards the first steps of certifying their businesses\u201d, said Armando Villareal, Iowa Division of Latino Affairs Administrator (IDLA), in the second Breakfast meeting held on August 16th.<br \/>\nThe IDLA along with support of the Appeals and Inspections Office and the ISED Social Program organized a breakfast at United Way in which approximately<br \/>\n<!--more--> 100 people attended.<br \/>\nThe purpose of this reunion was to guide the Latino business owners on the application process to convert their businesses into certified companies.\u00a0 They were also informed about technical support and the requirements they must have to obtain financing of up to $50,000 with an interest rate of 5%.<br \/>\nSherry Hopkins, Manager of the Small Business Certification Program, said that the program was designed to help expand business owners of ethnic groups, women and people who are handicapped in particular.<br \/>\nThose who attended also received information regarding administrative differences between other types of businesses that could be installed in Iowa and of the precautions business owners must have.\u00a0 Carlos Rios, Coordinator of the Immigrants of Iowa &amp;
