We believe it is essential that Latino citizens are engaged in the U.S. electoral process. LULAC\u2019s goals are: to promote civic participation and to generate on-going nonpartisan information that will encourage Latinos to vote and to vote on an informed basis. Basic civic participation is voting.

1. Who can vote in Iowa?<\/h3>\n

You are eligible to vote if:
\nYou are a U.S. citizen.
\nYou are an Iowa Resident
\nYou are 18 years old.<\/p>

\n2. How to register to vote?<\/h3>\n

To find the locations where you can register to vote go to www.iowaauditors.org<\/a><\/strong> and click on the county you live in<\/p>\n

You can download an application at the Secretary of State website
\nwww.sos.iowa.gov<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Fill it out carefully, sign and mail to the County Auditor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need your Iowa driver\u2019s license or non-operator\u2019s ID and birthdate to register online<\/p>\n

3 WAYS THAT YOU CAN VOTE<\/h2>\n

1. IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY<\/h4>\n

You can vote in person at your polling place on Tuesday November 8.<\/p>

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. statewide.<\/p>\n

To find out where your polling place is contact your County Auditor or go to www.iowaauditors.org and click on the county you live in.<\/p>

In Iowa you DON\u2019T NEED ANY IDENTIFICATION at the polls if you are already registered to vote.<\/p>\n

In Iowa you can even register to vote at the polls with proper identification. We recommend you register ahead of time to save time at the busy polls<\/p>

\n2. EARLY VOTING<\/h3>\n

Early voting starts September 29.<\/p>\n

You can go to your county\u2019s Auditor office or at satellite voter locations set by the county\u2019s Auditor and vote in person.<\/p>\n

You can get an absentee Ballot Request Form from the Secretary of State website www.sos.iowa.gov<\/p>\n

Fill out the Absentee Ballot Request Form and mail it to your county auditor<\/p>\n

Then you will receive the
