April 14 featuring international dances, a fashion show, food, and desserts. Several hundred people came in and out of the event to enjoy the show. The dances featured samba<\/p><div id=\"holaa-3434514451\" class=\"holaa-ad-inside-articles-2\" style=\"margin-top: 2px;margin-bottom: 2px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><div class=\"holaa-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesperformingarts.org\/whats-on\/series\/summerarts\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" aria-label=\"HI-SummerSeries-300&#215;250-SP\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/holaamericanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/HI-SummerSeries-300x250-SP.jpg\" alt=\"\"  width=\"300\" height=\"250\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div><br style=\"clear: both; display: block; float: none;\"\/>\n<p><!--more--> and tango to name a few from the America\u2019s, Chinese and Polynesian dances from Asia, a servillana dance from Spain and a Norwegian fashion show featuring a Viking for Europe. African dances and songs were also at the event.<br \/>\nSome of the booths featured Scottish history, intercultural exchanges, and a Mayan center for children of disabilities.<br \/>\nBob Nakamaru, a retired Black Hawk College instructor lived in Guatemala.
