With Super Bowl 50 being only a few days away, when you hear the words, Pigskin Classic, you may think that might be a clever way of renaming one of the biggest sports days of the year. \u00a0But, it\u2019s actually the name of a growing fest in the Quad Cities. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The 2016 Bacon and Beer Festival: \u201cPigskin Classic\u201d returns to the Davenport RiverCenter for its second year on Friday, Feb 5th. If there was ever a day to take a break from your New Year\u2019s diet resolution, this would be the day! \u00a0With plenty of samples of spirits from your favorite local establishments such as, Great River Brewery, Backpack Brewing and Lagunitas Brewing and bacon infused appetizers from area restaurants such as The J Bar and DJ\u2019s Steakhouse, the only pork belly you will be thinking about when you leave will be your own. \u00a0And if that wasn\u2019t enough, there will be football-themed games you can compete in for a chance to win pork skin prizes.<\/p>
