\"hpn_meeting\"<\/a>The Hispanic Professional Network held its second gathering at the new Habanero\u2019s Mexican Restaurant inside South Park Mall on Thursday, Feb. 15.\u00a0 The event brought together over 60 professionals to this growing network. There were people from different backgrounds who work with the Hispanic community.\u00a0 Government employees, insurance agents,
\n writers, salespeople, bankers, accountants, and a long list of other professions were represented at this event.
\nThe event was highlighted with a speech from Eva Savala, who has had a long history of working with labor unions and politics.\u00a0 In her speech she said it was wonderful to see so many educated professional Latinos.\u00a0 She described it as something that almost \u201cmade me cry\u201d of joy.\u00a0 She also emphasized the importance of education for the betterment of the Hispanic community and said that she looks forward to seeing the first Hispanic president being elected.
\n\u201cAnd I\u2019m sure she will do a great job,\u201d said Mrs. Savala.
