This year\u2019s Tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe will kick off a weekend full of celebrations. Plan to attend a very special event presented by the Latinos Unidos and Office of Multicultural Student Life of Augustana College.<\/p>\n

A Tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe will be on Thursday December 10, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Augustana College Centennial Hall located at 3703 7th Ave, Rock Island.<\/p>

The organizers of this free event would like to invite the whole community \u201cto celebrate and learn about Mexico\u2019s most popular religious and cultural image.\u201d<\/p>\n

During this special event the attendees will be able to enjoy a traditional mariachi music performed by the Mariachi Monumental de Mexico and there will be a shrine and short play to commemorate the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe. \u00a0Participants are welcomed to bring flowers for the altar and wear traditional cultural clothing. If you wish you could help Latinos Unidos of Augustana and buy a flower during the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cAugustans\u2019s Latinos Unidos will be fundraising roses to set on the altar for $3 each,\u201d Anna Dominguez, Latinos Unidos President, commented.<\/p>\n

Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration is a very important one for many. Come, share and enjoy this beautiful celebration at Augustana College. A Tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe is this Thursday December 10 at 6:30 PM in Augustana College Centennial Hall located at 3707 7th Ave., Rock Island.<\/p>
