Cedar Rapids, Iowa \u2013 July 10, 2015 \u2013 The Cedar Rapids Latino Festival, presented by Veridian Credit Union, will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mays Island at 3rd Avenue Bridge in downtown Cedar Rapids . The festival will celebrate a variety of Latin-American cultures and traditions through live music, dance performances, food and family-friendly activities. In addition, local organizations serving Latino communities will host informational booths. The festival is free to attend and open to the public.<\/p>\n

The featured musical entertainment will include performances by two Latin-influenced bands: Tornado Musical and Parranderos. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Las Rancheritas del Norte will perform various folk dances from Latin and Central American cultures throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Authentic Mexican and Cuban food from local vendors will be available for purchase. There will be many free activities for children, including pi\u00f1atas, face painting, crafts and other activities.<\/p>\n

The Latino Festival is a time for people of all ages and ethnicities to experience and learn about the rich and diverse Latino culture. \u00a0The festival is a reflection of our welcoming and vibrant community.<\/p>
