Training sessions will be held throughout Iowa, with special emphasis on areas of the state with higher Latino populations and where LULAC councils are located.<\/span><\/p><div id=\"holaa-959819025\" class=\"holaa-ad-inside-articles-2\" style=\"margin-top: 2px;margin-bottom: 2px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><div class=\"holaa-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesperformingarts.org\/whats-on\/series\/summerarts\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" aria-label=\"HI-SummerSeries-300&#215;250-SP\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/holaamericanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/HI-SummerSeries-300x250-SP.jpg\" alt=\"\"  width=\"300\" height=\"250\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div><br style=\"clear: both; display: block; float: none;\"\/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">\u201cOur goal is to turn out 25,000 Latino voters to the Republican and Democratic Caucuses,\u201d said Joe Enriquez Henry, state director of LULAC of Iowa. \u201cThe most effective way to involve Latinos in the political process is to show and explain to them how politics and the Caucuses work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">\u201cWe hope that once Latinos understand and participate in the Caucuses, they will continue to stay engaged in the political process,\u201d Enriquez Henry continued. \u201cThe end of this journey is not just at the Iowa Caucuses; the end will be when we\u2019ve empowered Latinos in Iowa to feel comfortable being part of a political system that has ignored them for too long.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">LULAC will work with Hola Iowa, operated by Hola America Media Group, to publicize efforts to reach out to potential Caucus-goers. Hola America was started in 2000 and provides news and information in English and Spanish through a website, social media, a print publication, a newsletter, television shows, mail subscriptions, translation services, and video and photography services. Hola America launched the web site HolaIowa.com last year with exclusive content featuring all the Latino communities of Iowa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">LULAC will use the \u201cIowa Presidential Caucuses\u201d massive open online course created by Iowa State University in its training sessions. The course discusses the history of the Caucuses, how they work, the role of the news media and technology, and the future of the Caucuses.<\/span><\/p><div id=\"holaa-1921344682\" class=\"holaa-ad-inside-articles\" style=\"margin-top: 2px;margin-bottom: 2px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><div class=\"holaa-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/hhs.iowa.gov\/health-prevention\/diabetes-prevention-management\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Diabetes Spanish 300&#215;250\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/holaamericanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Diabetes-Spanish-300x250-2.jpg\" alt=\"\"  width=\"300\" height=\"250\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div><br style=\"clear: both; display: block; float: none;\"\/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">Portions of the course will be showed at town hall meetings that will take place in September, between Oct. 13 and Nov. 10, between Nov. 17 and Dec. 15, and between Jan. 1 and Feb. 2. More details will be announced at a further date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12.1599998474121px; line-height: 1.3em;\">Founded in 1929, the League of United Latin American Citizens is the oldest Latino civil rights organization in the United States.
