LULAC will be holding its annual scholarship awards banquet on Sunday, July 19 at 4:30 pm at the Davenport LULAC Center, 4224 Ricker Hill Rd, Davenport, IA. \u00a0Invited are the recipients, their parents or guardians, Council members and area educators. \u00a0This year\u2019s guest speaker will be local businessman, entrepreneur and community supporter, Bob Ontiveros, Chairman of Group O.<\/p>\n

Funding for the scholarships is generated by local fundraising efforts and with the LULAC National Educational Service Center (LNESC) matching local funding by approx. 60%. \u00a0LULAC is also working with local colleges and universities to continue a reciprocal program where many \u00a0students are able to \u00a0receive additional matching funds.\u00a0<\/p>\n
