Chances are that all of us know at least one person with diabetes. This is one of the few diseases that do not have a cure and that means that people who are suffering from diabetes have to learn to manage the disease. Hispanics are at high risk to get diabetes and that is why it is important to know what one can do to prevent it.<\/p>\n

YMCA of Davenport and Mano Amiga, a Quad City organization that offers help to Latinos looking to improve their lives and the lives of their families, are delighted to invite everyone in the Quad Cities to come to a special program that teaches to prevent diabetes from affecting your life. \u00a0Program for Prevention of Diabetes and Obesity will be on Saturday March 7 at 9:30 AM and Wednesday March 11 at 6:30 PM at the Davenport YMCA located at 606 West Second Street, Davenport, IA.<\/span><\/p>

The program is open to everyone and it is free of charge. The information will be presented in Spanish and there will be translators available on site to resolve any questions the participants might have. After the presentation YMCA employees will be available to talk about anything related to the Program for Prevention of Diabetes and Obesity.<\/p>\n

Diabetes is affecting huge numbers of people in the Hispanic population therefore it is essential for people to know how to prevent the disease from happening. Come and learn about strategies to a better healthier you during the Program for Prevention of Diabetes and Obesity.<\/p>\n
