The greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 5th year\u00a0anniversary at their annual Gala last January 18 at the Quad Cities Waterfront Center<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in Bettendorf Iowa.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0More than 350 people from all over the Quad Cites, Chicago, Des Moines Iowa City<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and Nebraska battled the weather to make it to the Gala.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The evening was a celebration of the organization\u2019s accomplishments, members, and\u00a0supporters. The event featured entertainment, dinner, business awards, a silent<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>auction, and networking with colleagues, clients, business leaders, community<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>partners and GQCHCC members.<\/span><\/p>\n

The keynote speaker was Ralph de la Vega the CEO for AT&T Mobility. Under his\u00a0leadership, AT&T Mobility has become one of the world\u2019s leading smartphone and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>mobile Internet providers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Mr. de la Vega has received numerous leadership awards, including inductions into\u00a0<\/span>the Atlanta Business Hall of Fame and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund\u2019s Alumni Hall of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Fame. He was featured in the HBO documentary, The Latino List, which profiles\u00a0<\/span>influential Latinos in America.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The mission of the Greater Quad Cites Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to support,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>promote and enhance the growth and success of our local businesses and to leverage\u00a0<\/span>the community’s assets, contributions and unique Hispanic Cultural identity to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>generate new business.<\/span><\/p>\n
