The UFC may have had their first women\u2019s title fight in their organization in February, but the Invicta FC league has been around since last year and had plenty of women\u2019s title fights.\u00a0 On Friday, April 5th<\/sup>, Miletich Fighting System\u2019s, Barb \u201cLittle Warrior\u201d Honchak (7-2-0) will fight Vanessa Porto (15-5-0) for the flyweight title.<\/p>\n

\u00a0With Cris Cyborg breaking her contract with the UFC earlier this year and joining Invicta FC, Cyborg will also be fighting the same night in the fight right before Honchak\u2019s co-main event. With the organization getting bigger and adding stars like Cyborg to the roster could add some pressure to the current fighters of Invicta FC, but not Honchak.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cI try not to think about that or let it bother me,\u201d said Honchak.\u00a0 \u201cShe is just another fighter.\u201d\u00a0 It seems that the public is finally giving women their due right in the sport and the Quad Cities is lucky to have one of those women paving the way right here in Bettendorf at MFS.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As Honchak is content with her home at Invicta FC, she doesn\u2019t count the UFC out in the future.\u00a0 \u201cWith women\u2019s MMA there has been up and downs,\u201d said Honchak.\u00a0 \u201cInvicta treats us so well and if I ever went to the UFC I would want to go on good terms.\u201d<\/p>\n
