Council #10 of the League of United Latin American Citizens, (LULAC), announced today that students may now apply for this year’s scholarships. The scholarship program is open to entering freshmen only residing in the Quad Cities area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Applications are available from area high school counselors, online at http:\/\/lulac10.org\/<\/a> or LULAC Scholarship Committee Chairman Matthew Casillas\u00a0 563-381-7807.\u00a0 The deadline for submitting the applications is March 31, 2013 with no exceptions.\u00a0 Submit all applications to: LULAC Scholarship Fund,<\/p>

LULAC has considered education its number one priority since it was established in 1929.\u00a0 LULAC Council 10 of Davenport has awarded over four hundred thousand in scholarships since 1975. Council #10 raises funds locally through a BINGO operation at its ActivityCenter, the annual LULAC Fiesta fundraiser, and corporate and individual donations.\u00a0 Local funds are submitted to the LULAC National Scholarship Fund, (LNSF) for matching funds. Matching funds usually amount to 60% or more.\u00a0 Donations to<\/p>\n
