Plans are nearing completion.  The Second Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in East Moline on November 27th at 6PM is just around the corner.<\/p>\n

 A special tree lighting will immediately follow the parade.<\/p>

With more than twice the sponsors as last year, the addition of Frosty’s Chilly Supper at the American Legion from 5-8PM, and Santa and Mrs. Claus greeting the children after the parade at Frosty’s Chilly Supper, this promises to be a bigger and better event than last year.  The children will receive a free photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.<\/p>\n

Downtown Businesses will be lighting their storefronts and some will be hosting Open Houses.  The Downtown is premiering new street decorations this year that will certainly “brighten” the festivities.<\/p>\n

Special appearances by Em, the Pink Gorilla, the mascot of the East Moline Main Street Business Association, and Frosty, the host of the Chilly Supper will delight the children.  Two local authors, Blake Ross and Patrick Flaherty will be signing their books.<\/p>\n
