It is an unspoken understanding in the UFC that if you loss multiple fights in a row, you can probably bet that you will get your pink slip the next Monday after the fight. <\/p>\n

That is unless you are former Welterweight contender, Dan \u201cThe Outlaw\u201d Hardy (23-10-1). <\/p>

Despite the fact that he has lost his last four outings, Hardy will face striking sensation Duane \u201cBang\u201d Ludwig (29-12-0) at UFC 146.  \u201cI\u2019ve been a fan of Ludwig for a long time,\u201d said Hardy.  \u201cI know what he can do and what he is good at and I think it\u2019s a good match up for me.\u201d  Hardy has always been a big name in the U.K., but it was when he challenged Georges St. Pierre for the title in March of 2010 that he showed the world how far heart and drive can take you.  He ended up loosing that fight in a judge\u2019s decision, but GSP had him locked in some of the deepest holds in UFC history and Hardy never tapped. <\/p>\n

In addition to his regular training schedule, Hardy still uses the values he was taught in China in 2010 when he went to train with Shaolin Monks in all his fights.  \u201cThe mental toughness and surviving the ten to twelve hour training days is really going to pay dividends in this fight.\u201d said Hardy.  Being fully aware that he desperately needs a win to secure his career in the UFC, Hardy needed to make some major changes in his camp.  \u201cThe biggest change is that I moved to Vegas,\u201d said Hardy.  \u201cI\u2019ve been working with a whole new team of guys and I feel very confident where I am at.\u201d <\/p>\n

Anyone who has ever seen Dan Hardy compete immediately recognizes his passion and love for the sport from the time he walks out to the final horn.  If you don\u2019t know him yet, he wants to leave much more of an imprint on you than just the guy with the big red mohawk.  \u201cI am always going to come in and give it everything I\u2019ve got,\u201d explained Hardy.  \u201cI come to fight and I have a good time doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dan Hardy will face Duane Ludwig at UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir, Saturday, May 26th live from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada at 10pm ET.<\/p>
