The Quad Cities Botanical Center, Hola America, and Ascentra Credit Union have teamed up again to create the largest Posada in the Quad Cities. On Monday December 21st from 5:30pm – 8:00pm,<\/p>\n

the Quad Cities Botanical Center will host a traditional Mexican Posada. La Posada is a re-enactment of Mary and Joseph trying to find a place to rest in Bethlehem on the night that Jesus Christ was to be born. Traditional Mexican songs, food, and activities will surely brighten anyone’s day. A live DJ will keep the bodies moving and the numerous pi\u00f1atas will spread holiday cheer throughout the Botanical Center. Local television celebrities from the Quad Cities first Spanish television program Nuestra Gente will be in attendance, as well as some of your favorite radio personalities from the Quad Cities longest running Spanish on air programs at KALA 88.5 and 105.5 FM . <\/p>

Many surprises and candy for the kids as well as a couple surprise visitors will surely give you plenty of photo opportunities to capture the young ones expressions of joy. This family event is free and open to the public.
