The most requested platter is the shrimp cocktail, shrimp salad and the shrimp fajitas, but if you go to El Mariachi you must taste\u00a0\u00a0the delicious breaded fish and of course one of the most popular platter Ceviche Tostadas.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>But that\u2019s not all this authentic Mexican food restaurant also has in its regular menu the traditional cheese and onion enchiladas as <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-1506\" src=\"http:\/\/166.62.41.2\/~holaamericanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/el_mariachi.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"el_mariachi.jpg\" title=\"el_mariachi.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"270\" style=\"margin: 5px; float: left;\" \/>well as chiles rellenos (stuffed peppers) and fish tacos.<br \/>\u00a0El Mariachi restaurant has been serving the Quad Cities\u2019 Community for\u00a0over 10\u00a0years, but its proprietor Alfredo Castro remembers its beginnings when he learned to cook next to a Mexican food expert chef and how a short time later began his small business selling food from a trailer together with his wife Virginia.\u00a0 \u201cThe people liked the food so much they would always ask me where our restaurant was,\u201d remembers Alfredo excitedly.<br \/>\u201cIt was this acceptance of the public that motivated me, it gave me the push to open the restaurant,\u201d adds the now owner of El Mariachi.\u00a0<br \/>Even though the restaurant keeps growing Alfredo Castro doesn\u2019t forget his origins and his small trailer with which we can find him offering his exquisite platters at fairs and festivals.<br \/>One of the principle characteristics of El Mariachi is its prices, the varied and succulent dishes cost between 5 to 10 dollars. Alfredo Castro assures that his objective is to maintain good quality at moderate prices, especially in this time of economic crisis.\u00a0<br \/> Aside from the varied menu El Mariachi offers an authentic Mexican buffet. The buffet is available Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in which we can find a great variety of platters like mole (Chicken with Mexican sauce), ribs, as well as pork meat mixed with poblano sauce and much more delights and only at $9.75 per person.<br \/>While the breakfast buffet is on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12 midday and it offers platters like chilaquiles (fried tortilla mixed with egg and chicken), huevos a la mexicana con chorizo (Mexican style eggs with chorizo), pozole (pork stew), beans, French Fries, American sausage and much more at a very reasonable price of $8.25.\u00a0\u00a0 And that\u2019s not all; El Mariachi is one of the few restaurants that have the traditional arroz con leche (Mexican style rice pudding).\u00a0<br \/>If you would like to enjoy good food in a family environment don\u2019t hesitate to visit El Mariachi restaurant from Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It\u2019s open Fridays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and open Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 10p.m. Families can go Sundays to El Mariachi restaurant from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m .
