After a loss in her debut fight for the organization against Danielle Taylor, followed by an injury, Ruiz will make her return this Thursday night in the main event against former Invicta strawweight title contender, Janaisa Moradin (10-3) at Invicta FC 41 on UFC Fight Pass. “I’m excited to be in the main event,” said Ruiz. “I feel great and have been training ever since I’ve been able to after the injury and surgery. I’ve been ready for the call from Invicta.”

Dealing with her first professional loss, the road to recovery from her injury and the quarantine lockdown, Ruiz still kept her training very similar to how its always been, knowing she would get her chance for redemption sooner than later. “During this quarantine, the training never stopped,” explained Ruiz. “We took mats to the house and have been training every day.
