The East Moline 50th Annual AMVETS parade motto is “Celebrating 50 Years of Tradition” at their Fourth of July parade in East Moline. This year’s parade begins at 1 p.m. at 3rd St. and 12th Ave., proceeds to 15th Ave., and ends at 13th St. Call Kristin (309) 757-5416 for more information.<\/p>\n

KALA radio, 88.5 and 105.5 FM and Hola America Newspaper will be participating in the parade for the fifth year in a row as well. Look for us during the event, as we will be passing out gifts from our sponsors.

The 26th Annual Firecracker Run will begin at THE National Bank parking lot, 15th Avenue and 8th Street in East Moline. The Kiddie Run is on Thursday, July 3 at 5:30 p.m. The National Bank Mile is on Thursday at 6 p.m. The 5K, 10K, and Family Runs are on Friday, July 4 at 7:30 a.m. Bands will play along the route.
