Illegal immigrants are human beings, in general  poor, uneducated,  often fleeing repressive regimes, willing to take any job, so they may send money home to care for their children or feed their aging parents.

Illegal immigrants work long hours, in the hot sun or cold of winter, often in unsanitary, many times, toxic conditions. 
       
Illegal immigrants often take jobs that no other segment of U.S. society will take at any price.<\/p>\n

Illegal immigrants are frequently cheated of their wages, robbed of their belongings, charged high fees by money transfer businesses, stopped by police, and denied assistance when they need help. <\/p>

Illegal immigrants, when victims or witnesses of violence, domestic or otherwise, have no recourse, free of fear.  Because they lack power, they are not likely to contact police.  <\/p>\n

Illegal immigrants are exploited by corporations, politicians, farmers, railroads, hospitals, restaurants, building contractors, food processing plants, and anyone that wishes to obtain excellent labor in exchange for cheap wages.<\/p>\n

Illegal immigrants pay social security taxes, (many times for the benefit of the persons who let them use their Social Security number).  They also pay real estate taxes, sales taxes, and contribute to church and charities.<\/p>\n

Illegal immigrants are without U.S. identification.  They therefore cannot apply for automobile or health insurance.    <\/p>

Illegal immigrants have protection of the U.S. Constitution, which protects the due process rights for all persons in this country.  Under the Constitution they may choose to remain silent, to understand the charges against them, and to be represented by an attorney.<\/p>
