Rhythmic music, intricate dance steps and traditional outfits met in a colorful display of performances at the 2007 Cultural Diversity Festival on Feb. 17. The festival, held at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center, included numerous performances
from around the world, including several varieties of dances from states in Mexico.
Among those that took center stage were Micaela and Ray Terronez, a brother-and-sister duo that performed Mexican folk dances, and Quad Cities Ballet Folkorico, which featured young dancers of various age groups. Select images showcased are from the two performance groups.
The event was presented by BeeGlobal of St. Ambrose University.
