Two Titles on the Line at Invicta FC 16

One of the biggest stories of the year so far in MMA came last weekend where UFC superstar, Miesha Tate shocked the world and submitted overnight star Holly Holm for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title.  And this Friday night, sixteen more female mixed martial artists look to make some history of their own at Invicta FC 16 from the Tropicana Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Invicta2“I think it’s a big card to follow,” said Invicta FC bantamweight fighter, Kelly “Killer” McGill (2-0).  “I feel like it motivated all of us to put on a good show.”

McGill will put her unbeaten record up against another undefeated fighter, Aspen Ladd in one of the early fights of the night.  Two titles will also be on the line as Atomweight fighter Amber Brown looks to take the title from current champion Ayaka Hamasaki and Vanessa Porto and Jennifer Maia fight for the Interim Flyweight title in the co-main event of the evening.

In what may be the Fight of the Night, Jessamyn Duke makes her return to Invicta to take on one of the organization’s fighter-to-watch, Irene Aldana in a bantamweight battle that is sure to have a highlight real ending.  Aldana is the teammate to undefeated Invicta FC superstar Alexa Grasso, who had to pull out of her fight due to an injury.

Former UFC TUF competitor Angela Hill also makes her debut along with Andrea Lee, former strawweight champion, Herica Tiburcio and Jinh Yu Frey round off what looks to be Invicta’s most stacked card to date.

Invicta FC 16 is Friday, March 11th from the Tropicana Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV.  Fights start at 8:30 ET and stream live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
